TMZ has released a photo of the injuries sustained by Rihanna.... and it looks terrible. PerezHilton notes that as the picture was taken very soon after the attack the full extent of the bruising and swelling was not shown, and I think he's probably right. After all of the inconsistent stories published by media outlets I wasnt convinced that her injuries were as bad as people were saying - but a picture speaks a thousand words. And although innocent until proven guilty, this photograph alone is pretty damning for Chris, at least in the eyes of the public, because I can't think of anything that may have 'transpired' that could justify this. Either way, this whole thing is just messed up.And to make it just that little bit worse, the picture has been leaked on the singers 21st birthday.
The folowing statement was released by the LAPD:
Los Angeles: The unauthorized release of a domestic violence photograph immediately generated an internal investigation.
At about 7 p.m. on February 19, 2009, the Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations Section began receiving numerous inquiries about the release of a photograph associated with a domestic violence incident that occurred on February 8, 2009, involving entertainer Chris Brown. The photograph appeared on an entertainment website. The photograph has the appearance of one taken during an official Domestic Violence investigation.
The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence.
The Department launched an immediate internal investigation and subsequently filed a personnel complaint.
A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination.
Anyone with information concerning the unauthorized release of the photograph is asked to call, during regular business hours, (213) 485-4152. After-hours or on weekends, calls may be directed to our 24-hour, toll-free number at 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (527-3247). Callers may also text “CRIMES” with a cell phone or log on to www.lapdonline.org and click on Web Tips. When using a cell phone, all messages should begin with “LAPD.” Tipsters may remain anonymous.
Wise Words from Will Smith
Will Smith is amongst the many celebs to reach out to Chris Brown and Rihanna. At the NAACP awards he said:
"Jada and I reached out to both of them. If it's help they need, then let's get it right. This is a time where they need to be left alone and if they have things they need to work out, work it out. People should take a minute before they jump on it and judge. We don't know nothing. If there are mistakes people make, then they should be willing to live up to the mistakes and do whatever penance they need to do. I don't think it's up to us, specifically the media, with such a fast hand to try to chop someone's head off."I agree with Will on this one.

Rihanna Faints While Performing
Near the end of performing Umbrella with Chris Brown, Rihanna reportedly ran off stage and was seen to by paramedics. Before feeling sick she was flying across the stage with an umbrella and wearing a very tight corset so that probably made her feel sick - I dont know. I think its probably that hectic world domination schedule shes got, must be very exhausting.

It took me a minute to find this video because Def Jam have gone around getting it removed from Youtube - copyright infringement or something. Anyways, this video is actually weirder than I thought it would be - and I had high expectations for its levels of weirdness. Highlights of the video include Rihanna getting it off with a plastic dummy, wearing a large feathery headress, a cheap blonde wig and shaking her head like a deranged lunatic (or someone in disturbia?) - so a must-see then? Seriously though, what the hell happened to this child, she used to be so normal. I mean she really didn't have to go to these lengths to set herself apart from other artists cos she already had the whole Carribean (sp?) thing going on. It just seems kinda forced to me. Anyways, here she is back in her Pon De Replay days, see if you can spot the difference!
